The 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel gets a 13,100-lb tow rating when equipped on the Crew Cab short bed 2WD model with the Max Trailering Package and 20-inch wheels and tires.

Denali’s standard 5.3L V8 engine gets 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, while Denali Ultimate offers a 6.2L V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management rated for 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. With Selectable Traction Modes, you can switch between Sport mode, available off-Road mode and Tow/Haul mode to adapt to changing terrain and driving conditions, while additional systems like Adaptive Ride Control and Hill Descent Control help deliver a smoother ride.
AT4 has a number of equipment upgrades for elevated off-roading, including a 2-inch factory lift with off-road suspension and Rancho monotube shocks, two-speed AutoTrac Transfer Case and automatic locking rear differential. The new GMC Sierra 1500’s world’s first available six-function GMC MultiPro Tailgate helps improve loading, unloading and accessing the cargo box—and it can be accessed using the key fob’s power release.
